Spring health outreach brings care closer to families

Community members gathered for health outreach

On a bright March weekend, KAMSA volunteers welcomed neighbors for blood-pressure checks, wellness conversations, and bilingual health education materials. The goal was simple: meet families where they are and make trusted information easier to access.

Members from clinical and non-clinical roles worked side by side — greeting guests, guiding stations, and connecting people to local resources. Several attendees asked about nutrition, stress, and navigating care for aging parents. Those conversations reminded us why community presence matters as much as clinical expertise.

“Service is part of how we practice belonging,” one volunteer shared. “When we show up together, families feel seen — and our members feel connected to something larger than a workday.”

KAMSA plans additional outreach throughout the year. If you would like to volunteer or sponsor supplies, please contact our team or make a gift.
